Peter McNaught BVetMed MRCVS

Peter has been the sole Practitioner of the Crescent Veterinary Clinic since December 2007. He leads a capable team of 5 Veterinary Assistants, 2 Veterinary Nurses and a Practice Manager.

Outside of work, Peter's main interest is watching cricket as there is not enough spare time to play it.

Nancy Hodgkinson

Nancy is our Practice Manager and manages everything at the Crescent behind the scenes and at the front desk.

Pete Chalkley BVSc MRCVS

Pete graduated from Bristol University in June 2007. His main interest is working with large animals and supporting the farmers.

Outside of work, Pete enjoys watching cricket and rugby and he plays cricket for Underwood.

Andy Mertin DVM MRCVS

Andy joined Crescent Vets in January 2009. He graduated from the University of Berlin in 2006. Andy's main interest lies with large animals and outside of work Andy is a marathon runner and loves any live music gigs that he has time to go to.

Alison Plowright RVN Head Nurse

Alison is our Head Nurse. She qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2005 and has been here ever since graduating. Alison enjoys all aspects of her work from helping with all small animal procedures to sheep caesarians.

Outside of work, Alison is thoroughly enjoying married life and loves internet shopping. She also owns 3 cats - Mista, Norman and Humbug.

Kirsty Blakelock

Kirsty is our Trainee Veterinary Nurse / Receptionist. She owns 1 dog - a Dogue de Bordeaux called Beesley who accompanies her on camping holidays!

Louise Moore

Louise is our Trainee Veterinary Nurse who is currently training at Nottingham Trent University. Louise has one horse Krystal, a dog Rosie and a cat Megan.

Louise enjoys riding, showjumping and shopping.

Kay Chevins

Kay is our second Veterinary Nurse. She is currently on maternity leave and we wish her all the best.

Kay enjoys hiking and computer games. She owns a cat Pru and a Border Collie Brock.

Elizabeth Faers

Elizabeth has been our Receptionist on a Monday to Friday mornings, since 1994. Elizabeth is also involved in administration work within the practice.

She is married with a son and daughter and much of her free time is spent with her grandson and granddaughter as well as reading and swimming.

Jill Hand

Jill is the Practice Administrator and our Saturday morning Receptionist. She has worked at the Crescent since December 2007.

Outside of work, Jill is married with 2 grown up children and she enjoys horse riding, reading and walking. She is often accompanied by her 2 dogs Bob - a Labrador and Dolly - a Border Terrier cross.

Tina Reynolds

Tina has worked as a Receptionist at Crescent Vets since 1991. She works over the weekend and on a Monday morning.

Her spare time is spent riding her horse Sutts and walking her Lurcher cross called Wizzy who is a rescue dog from a dog's home. She also owns a rescue cat called Gollum.

Rowena Smith

Rowena has worked as an afternoon Receptionist at the Crescent since 2003. She has a young son and a baby daughter to keep her busy at home.

Lorraine Woods

Lorraine has been the practice Cleaner since 2005. She is here cleaning every day Monday to Friday.
