Vaccination Amnesty months in June and July

We are urging our clients to take advantage of a national vaccination amnesty in June and July 2009 after shock statistics revealed a high proportion of the nation’s pets remain unvaccinated.
A national survey has indicated that up to 3 million dogs (46 per cent of the UK population), more than 6 million cats (77 per cent) and 1.8 million rabbits (90 per cent) are currently unvaccinated, or have “lapsed” since their initial vaccinations.
As a result, they lack immunity to potentially fatal diseases like parvovirus in dogs, cat flu in cats and myxomatosis in rabbits which kill many thousands of pets in the UK every year.
The figures have been released by Intervet, organisers of the first-ever National Vaccination Month and the Veterinary Times, after a nationwide computer-based survey of animal disease awareness.
We are urging our pet owners to take action over the crisis.
We are offering 1st and 2nd booster vaccinations at the cut-price rate of just 1 booster vaccination during the months of June and July to protect your pets against potentially lethal infections. There is a high rate of Leptospirosis in the Melton Mowbray area spread by rats and mice urine particularly on farms and in rural areas, so we urge you to take advantage of our offer should your pet's vaccinations have lapsed.
